| Customer Reviews: Great Wetsuit! No Discoloring Problem June 14, 2010 M. BABAR We got two of them one pink/gray and one navy/blue for our 6 and 2 year old. My kids just love these wetsuit and we are very happy with them. My kids have been to the pool several times with these on and so far colors have not changed a bit.
A lot of friends have been asking where we got them.
Keep away from the pool December 14, 2009 Doug Lifer (San Francisco) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've used wetsuits for years for our kids from pools to oceans without trouble. Last month, our 2 year old took this wetsuit into the pool with her brother. To our surprise, an hour later the entire wetsuit changed from black to a rusty brown. The brother's body glove wetsuit suffered nothing in the same pool.
I sent the wetsuit back to O'Neill and they promptly responded that is wasn't covered under warranty and that no wetsuit is immune to clorine. Come on guys where do you think a 2 year old is going with a wetsuit? and it didn't exactly fade, it reacted to common pool chemicals.
Since O'Neill seems to believe children's wetsuits are not designed for pools, be advised not to buy one if you plan to use it in a pool.
